BFFN is a promotional partner of the Transition to Organic (TOPP) – Ohio Ecological Food and Farm Association
Last year OEFFA became a core partner in the Midwest region of TOPP ( Transition to Organic Partnership Program). The two main goals of this program are to increase acres transitioning to organic certification and to increase the number of BIPOC farmers participating in Organic Certification. All of the services presented through OEFFA for TOPP are free to participants. These include a mentorship program, in which the organic mentor is paid $3,000 a year and the mentee receives travel and conference reimbursement up to $500 per year, and anyone who needs it receives free technical assistance and welcome to attend farm tour/field days on organic farms.
